Guest Swipe Sharing Program

The Guest Meal Swipe Donation Program is designed to mitigate food insecurity on Rice’s campus by providing access to hot meals via the Residential College Serveries. This program is a collaborative effort between the Student Association, Housing and Dining, Student Success Initiatives, and the Dean of Undergraduates Division.

Food insecurity has risen significantly, especially among college students. Covid-19 has dramatically changed students' access to necessities like food and healthcare. As a result, the Guest Meal Swipe Donation Program is even more important than it has been in the past. This program also presents a Covid-19 safe option for getting food to people who need it.

As part of this program, students with a 20 meal-per-week plan may donate between one and ten of their guest meal swipes to off-campus students who may be experiencing food insecurity. To donate your guest meal swipes, please see the Swipe Donation Form. This form for Spring 2023 is live and will close on Friday, February 24th, 2023.

Undergraduate students with demonstrated need, who do not currently have an on-campus meal plan, can request to be considered for the guest swipe program. To request meal swipes, please complete the Swipe Request Form https://forms.gle/e75U5G4NSjVr7ALb6 that is set to open on February 27th, 2023 - March 3rd, 2023. Please note, you must be logged into your Rice Google account to access the form.
