O-Week begins with Move-In on Sunday, August 16th, 2020 and end Saturday, August 22nd, 2020.
The purpose of O-Week is to get you registered for classes and introduce you to Rice’s academic requirements and opportunities. The second purpose of O-Week is to introduce you to Rice’s policies, resources, and values, as well as the tradition, culture, and community of your residential college.
Orientation Week is mandatory for all New Undergraduate Students (first time college students, transfers and international students. If you are living on campus this year, you will be able to move into your room during the Sunday morning of O-Week. Your O-Week Coordinators will help you unload your belongings and get them to your room when you arrive for Move In. If you do not plan to live on campus, you will be required to stay on campus during O-Week. Housing in your college will be provided for the duration of O-Week.
Your O-Week Coordinators will send you information about this over the summer.
There’s so much more to O-Week than can be explained in a few brief paragraphs, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at oweek@rice.edu if you have any questions or refer to our FAQ page.
