What is something you’re proud of this year?
I am proud of becoming an active member of the Society of Women Engineers, attending the WE25 National Conference, and landing a summer internship at SLB.
What advice would you give to your freshman self?
COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF JOY. A grand majority of Rice students had very distinguished educations before coming to Rice and just because you have to work a little harder to “make the mark” doesn’t make you lesser than. Don’t compare yourself!
How have you utilized the RESP office this year? How has RESP been beneficial for you this year?
I meet consistently with my RESP advisor and our meetings have allowed me to stay grounded in the sea of Rice students.
Any advice for other students?
Remember that you are a human being. Make sure you’re pouring into personal hobbies because they will keep you grounded throughout the semester.
