Before move-in, students must first report to a designated location on campus for COVID-19 testing. Please see full testing details here. Shuttles will be available at the testing location, Robert L. Waltrip Indoor Training Center. Did you not sign up for testing yet? Please email email@example.com to select a time as soon as possible.
Upon arrival to each college, please be sure all parties are wearing masks. Our advisors are so excited to help you unload all of their luggage and set up your room. Please note that families and guests will not be able to enter the residential college at this time.
Please say your goodbyes to your families and guests after the car is unloaded. We very much regret this, but hope you understand why this is necessary. For a detailed list of move-in Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), please visit our website below.
We ask all new students to please arrive promptly for their scheduled appointment time and bring a valid driver’s license or other official form of identification. They must proceed directly to the testing location and will not be permitted to stop anywhere on campus until after they have had their test.
Note: There is no specific address for the Waltrip Indoor Training Center. Here are some potential options to help with navigation:
The test will take approximately 30 minutes for results. Upon arrival the student will register and complete the necessary consents. They will then be tested via a nasal swab and will be seated in testing center while the test is run. The process should take approximately 45 minutes. No one may accompany you into the testing center.
The pharmacist running your test will call them on their cell phone while they are seated and deliver the results. The student will then stop at a table on the way out to pick up a packet containing a hangtag and a wristband so that they can proceed to their college to move-in. They are not permitted to move in unless they have this hang tag and wristband. They are expected to keep the wristband on through the weekend. They may remove it on Monday, August 17th.
Should they get a positive result, they will pick up a packet containing a hangtag and wristband and proceed to Sid Richardson. The hang tag and wristband will be specific to Sid Richardson. We understand it might be difficult for anyone getting a positive result, but know that we are here to support them and have worked incredibly hard at setting up a process that will allow them to recover and join their peers as quickly as possible. Upon check out at the testing center, the student will receive further instructions.
If the student is headed to a north college (Brown, Jones, Martel, McMurtry, or Duncan) please exit the parking lot via the north exit. If they are headed to south college (Lovett, Baker, Hanszen, Will Rice, Wiess, or Sid Richardson) please exit the parking lot via the south exit.
Please keep reading for move-in instructions by college.
